Modern Academy Classes
Modern dance is the exploration of the basic elements of dance: time, space, energy, relationships, and the coordination
of our bodies. Strong technique, strength, flexibility, and nurturing the love of dance is the goal of our program. Styles
taught include: Martha Graham, Horton, Cunningham, Humphrey-Limon and Release techniques as well as the Arve and
GAGA techniques.
MODERN 1 (8Y+): Modern 1 is a beginning modern class for ages 8 and up.
MODERN 2: Modern 2 is a beginning/intermediate modern class. Teacher recommendation only.
MODERN 3: Modern 3 is an intermediate modern class. Teacher recommendation only.
MODERN 4: Modern 4 is an intermediate/advanced modern class. Teacher recommendation only.
MODERN 5: Modern 5 is an advanced modern class. Teacher recommendation only.
