In addition to private lessons for Juniors & Adults, there are three stages to our Lake Forest Junior Squash
Program. First, the Junior Development Program is for those just learning the game. Second, the Elite Travel
Program is for those players who have graduated from the Junior Development Program and are interested in
competitive tournament play, either locally or regionally. Lastly, our Lake Forest High School Team competes
locally against other high schools as part of the The Chicagoland High School Squash League. Note: if there
are adult or youth groups who want to play together, we are also happy to arrange a group lesson program.
SQUASH - JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (8-14Y)
With classes ranging in size from 4-8 players, Little Squashers (3-5th graders) and Beginner Squash (6-7 graders) will provide an introduction
to racquet sports, focus on improving hand-eye coordination and will offer instruction on forehand, backhand, serve, return of serve, footwork,
and beginning court movement. Intermediate classes will be 2-4 members and will introduce match play with continued focus on forehand,
backhand, serve, return of serve, drives and volleys, footwork, and emphasis on squash fitness.

Junior Squash
SQUASH - ELITE TRAINING PROGRAM (10-18Y)
This program is for junior-level players, ages 10-18, who have graduated from Intermediate Squash and are looking to develop as a
competitive squash player. Players who qualify for this program will learn the technical, tactical, psychological, and physical requirements
necessary to successfully compete in local, regional, and national tournaments. As part of the program, our players will complete in the
Chicago Junior Travel Squash circuit, a monthly tournament program of single day tournaments that runs from November through April.

Tryouts are required for entry into the program and players will be expected to join the US Squash Racquets Association.

SQUASH - LAKE FOREST HIGH SCHOOL JUNIOR SCOUTS (15-18Y)
The Lake Forest High School Club Team (team pictured left) is a member of The Chicagoland High School Squash League and plays a schedule of matches
against other high schools, culminating with a year-end championship. Our after-school practice program will include coaching, drilling, agility, fitness, and
matches. During the first week of the program, there will be player assessments and challenge matches to determine Varsity and Junior Varsity teams.
Varsity will practice from 5-6 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays and the JV will practice from 6-7 pm on the same days. Friday practice times will be for
make-up practices or optional workouts. Local team matches will be scheduled throughout the season.
