LAKE FOREST DAY 5K FUN RUN ( ALL AGES )

WEDNESDAY , AUGUST 1 , 2018

All participants of the 5K Run / Walk will receive a souvenir T-shirt on race day . Awards will be presented to the top male and female athlete finishers in each age division . Runners are strongly encouraged to pre-register at the Recreation Center to help race coordinators prepare and plan for the run .

YOUTH BOXING ( 10-14Y ) Boxing workouts will get your blood pumping and your body ready to fight for your fitness . You will be taught proper boxing techniques including the jab , cross , and hook . Follow your trainer through one to three-minute fitness rounds designed to provide overall total body strength and endurance challenges including abdominal , core , and strength training .

Deerpath Community Park Participants that register by noon on Monday , July 30 may pick up their race day packets at the Recreation Center after 4:00 pm on July 31st . .

TWEEN YOGA ( 10-14Y ) This introduction to yoga is designed specifically for adolescents as a way to gain strength and flexibility through yoga poses and connect to their changing life and body to build a positive attitude and self-image . In this class , they will be offered the opportunity to focus on their life and who , what , and how they want to be through vision boards , crafts , and journaling . Most importantly , they will have fun and laugh in a safe class community .
