CITY OF LAGUNA NIGUEL • LAGUNA NIGUEL POLICE SERVICES COMMUNITY PUBLICATION
National Night Out
National Night Out has been celebrated annually
across the country for over 30 years in a fight for
a safer nation.
Laguna Niguel successfully participated
in the celebration for the last six, bringing
families out to enjoy themselves in a night
against crime. Laguna Niguel Police Services
provides activities, displays and crime
prevention information for the community,
and are happy to announce our 7th annual
celebration of National Night Out 2017.
According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Uniform Crime
Reports, Laguna Niguel continues to be ranked in the top 5 safest cities
in Orange County based on population since 2010. Laguna Niguel
Police Services has continued the efforts to strengthen the partnership
between members of the community and law enforcement through
crime prevention. A strong police-community partnership is an essential
need for a safer city. National Night Out allows for the opportunity to
promote crime safety and unity within our community. Through your
support and cooperation, we can open the communication and work
together to make Laguna Niguel top the charts as the safest city in
Orange County.
This year’s National Night
Out has been set for
Tuesday, August 1, 2017.
On that night as a National
Night Out tradition, we ask
that you show your support by leaving your outdoor lights on as part
of a vigil to show our unity as a city. In addition, we invite you and
your families to celebrate with us in this year’s National Night Out. The
celebration will be from 5 to 8 pm on the field located at Laguna Niguel
Elementary School, 27922 Niguel Heights Blvd. in Laguna Niguel.
Our celebration will include Orange County
Sheriff’s Deputies, displays from various
investigative units within the Sheriff’s
Department, such as CSI and bomb squad, a
fire engine, food from our local restaurants,
games, giveaways, face painting, inflatable
slides and much more. We will also have
plenty of information on crime prevention,
emergency preparedness, fire prevention,
drug and alcohol abuse prevention and more.
...we ask that you show your
support by leaving your outdoor
lights on as part of a vigil to
show our unity as a city.
