WONDERFUL WORLD SOIREE Festival of Arts and Pageant of the Masters hosted their star-studded Wonderful World Soiree on Aug . 27 to celebrate the summer season ’ s conclusion and the festival ’ s 90th anniversary , with proceeds from the event benefiting the festival ’ s arts programming ; a gross of nearly $ 240,000 was raised . Among the celebrity attendees were Priscilla Presley as the evening ’ s host , as well as actors Joe Mantegna (“ Criminal Minds ”) and Michael Tucci (“ Grease ”), and 10-time Grammywinning jazz trumpet player Arturo Sandoval , who performed an intimate concert on the festival ’ s green . The event featured a red carpet entrance for all guests as well as a Chinese lion dance and strolling entertainers , including circus performers from Le Petit Cirque , African stilt walkers and Japanese geishas . The nearly 2,200 attendees also enjoyed a private showing of the festival ’ s fine art show and , following the concert by Sandoval , a special performance of the Pageant of the Masters production , which had a theme of “ Wonderful World ” this year .
