WHY I LOVE LAGRANGE FROM CHICAGO TO LAGRANGE We sat down with Sherri Brown, director of Circles of Troup County. LDN: According to your biography on Circles’ website, you’ve been in LaGrange since 1996, where were you be- forehand and how did your life bring you to LaGrange? Brown: Most of my childhood was spent in the Chicago area, until college when I headed for Baylor Universi- ty (sic’em Bears!) in Texas. My first job was in Atlanta where I eventually met my husband. He’s a Georgia boy, so we’ve stayed in Georgia. LDN: Once you got to LaGrange, what kept you here and why? Brown: It does take a village to raise children. Our three daughters were young when we moved here and it’s been a great community for our family — school, church, neighborhood and community. I especially love living in the downtown area. Our house is 100 years old now and my neighborhood has newcomers and “old-timers” who know each other, care for each other and have a lot of fun. It was a fabulous neighborhood when we were rais- ing children, and we couldn’t imagine living anywhere else now. Pablo Sáinz Villegas: Americano Trio Sunday, March 1 Swaroop N.
