CANADIAN RED CROSS BABYSITTING COURSE
Summer Fun for Boys & Girls (11 years & older)
The Canadian Red Cross Babysitting Course is a great way for youth 11 and older to develop the fundamental skills to better
care for themselves and others. Plus, it’s a perfect program to prepare them for perhaps their first summer job! This course
covers skills for caring for infants and toddlers, babysitters’ rights and responsibilities, safety, and how to handle emergency
situations. The registration fee includes a babysitter manual, information sheet and participation card. A bagged lunch is
required. Snacks and drinks will be provided. A minimum of 10 and a maximum of 30 registrants are required.

Summer Fun for Boys & Girls (8 years & older)
Real-world scenarios often call on children to respond to challenges. The Stay Safe! Program teaches applicable and
age-appropriate skills, while increasing and reinforcing a youth’s capacity to improve his or her own safety. Participants learn
about being safe when they are without the direct supervision of a parent, guardian or trusted adult, both at home and in their
communities. A bagged lunch is required. A minimum of 10 and a maximum of 30 registrants are required.
