Monthly Cash Allowance
Expatriates and PR received an average of RM1,900 in cash allowance per month, while foreign
workers received about RM240. Expatriates and PR in managerial and professional roles received
the highest cash allowance (RM3,500). Majority of them were from the education and
manufacturing sectors. Among the foreign workers, those who worked as skilled agricultural,
forestry, livestock and fishery workers as well as craf t and related trades workers received higher
cash allowance of RM650 – RM850 per month.
