Expatriates and PR
More than 80% of expatriate / PR employees were from the education and manufacturing
industry, while majority of foreign workers were from manufacturing and agriculture, forestry
and fishing.

4.2.1 Non-Malaysian Employees: Countries of Origin
Approximately one-third of the establishments with non-Malaysian employees indicated
Indonesia as a key country of origin of their expatriates, PR and foreign workers. Other countries
mentioned by establishments as a key country of origin of their foreign workers were Nepal,
Myanmar and Bangladesh.
