4.1.2.4 Malaysian Employees: Facilities and Benefits
Medical and training were the most common benefits provided by employers in 2015 to full-time
employees (provided by 56% and 31% of establishments profiled). This was followed by uniform
/ protective clothing / security equipment, meals and transportation, which were offered by
about a quarter of the employers. Sports, recreation and childcare were the facilities / benefits
provided by the least number of employers.

In terms of expenditure, 54% of the total annual cost for facilities and benefits for full-time
employees was spent on medical and transportation, followed by training (18%) and meals (10%).
