We reached 1,000 graduates! 2 new training centers
We can proudly say that the tech industry
in Latin America is looking much more
diverse and inclusive, becoming a source
of opportunity for a significant number of
women in the region. We launched two new training centers:
São Paulo (Brazil) and Guadalajara (Mexico).
They both saw their first cohorts of front-end
developers graduate in 2018, attaining over
85% placement rates in these new markets!
Agile Classroom We hosted 8 amazing Talent Fests
We launched a revised project-based, agile
classroom, with a learning culture based on
trust, growth mindset and collaboration that
is helping our students be better prepared
for competitive jobs in the sector. These are two-day hackathons where
companies like Accenture, HERE and
Citibank provided technical challenges for
our students to solve and through them,
identified the ideal candidates to join their
tech teams.
Alumnae Communities International Recognitions
We launched active Alumnae Communities
aimed at promoting the professional and
personal growth of our alumnae, their
career development, and their positive
influence on other women. We saw many
alumnae shining in panels and tech
communities throughout the year! We received some amazing international
recognitions: the World Summit Award (UN,
WSIS) in Vienna, the Equals in Tech Award
(ITU, UN. Internet Society) in New York, and
the Change Agent Abie Award (AnitaB.org,
Grace Hopper Celebration) in Houston.
