Highlights of the year Guadalajara CDMX We reached 1,000 graduates! 2 new training centers We can proudly say that the tech industry in Latin America is looking much more diverse and inclusive, becoming a source of opportunity for a significant number of women in the region. We launched two new training centers: São Paulo (Brazil) and Guadalajara (Mexico). They both saw their first cohorts of front-end developers graduate in 2018, attaining over 85% placement rates in these new markets! Agile Classroom We hosted 8 amazing Talent Fests We launched a revised project-based, agile classroom, with a learning culture based on trust, growth mindset and collaboration that is helping our students be better prepared for competitive jobs in the sector. These are two-day hackathons where companies like Accenture, HERE and Citibank provided technical challenges for our students to solve and through them, identified the ideal candidates to join their tech teams. Alumnae Communities International Recognitions We launched active Alumnae Communities aimed at promoting the professional and personal growth of our alumnae, their career development, and their positive influence on other women. We saw many alumnae shining in panels and tech communities throughout the year! We received some amazing international recognitions: the World Summit Award (UN, WSIS) in Vienna, the Equals in Tech Award (ITU, UN. Internet Society) in New York, and the Change Agent Abie Award (AnitaB.org, Grace Hopper Celebration) in Houston.
