7 values that guide &
shape our work
Our students: the reason why we exist
Our students are our why. We want to transform the lives of thousands
of Latin American women in search of a better future. Laboratoria is for
those people who, independently of their role, genuinely care about our
students and their growth.
We strive for excellence
Our work impacts lives directly and because of that, we aspire to do
world class work, always. We achieve this by continuously reflecting
on what we do. Without reflection there is no learning, and without
learning it is impossible to improve.
We play as a team
Some teams describe themselves as a big family, and others as a great
sports team. In Laboratoria we have a bit of both. Like family, we truly
care about each other, and our joys and problems are always shared.
Like high-performing teams, open, transparent and respectful feedback
is essential in our way of working.
We love experimenting
We have chosen to cultivate a culture of experimentation.
This is how we try out new ideas, learn and pivot. Mistakes are a central
part of learning. Instead of avoiding failure, we try fast, fail fast, and
learn fast.
We are always learning
At Laboratoria we love to learn. We are certain our greatest advantage
is to become a fast learning organization. An open mind for learning
has enabled us to transform our organization multiple times and thrive
in times of constant change.

Freedom with responsibility
At Laboratoria we believe in the freedom and autonomy of people. We
trust our team. As long as what we do is aligned with the objectives and
purpose that we pursue as an organization, the field is open for every
Laboratorian to create, experiment and lead.
We act as owners
Laboratoria is a movement that belongs to every person touched by
it. As a team, in all our decisions, either big or small, we think about
what is best for Laboratoria. We are proactive and action-oriented to
question what we could be doing better. We are responsible for the
decisions we make and the impact they have.
