News from APHL
Laboratory Fellowship
Programs
by Heather Roney, MA, manager, Fellowship Programs
A
PHL completed 2017 recruitment for three of its fellowship
programs—Antimicrobial Resistance, Bioinformatics and Infectious
Diseases. We are pleased with the number and quality of
applications received for fellows and host laboratories for these programs.
Applications are currently under review, and fellows are expected to start
their assignments in APHL member and CDC laboratories beginning in July.
The Ronald H. Laessig Memorial Newborn Screening Fellowship recently
completed its application process for host laboratories. One NBS Fellow
will be selected to start in July. For more information about the application
cycle, please see www.aphl.org/fellowships/Pages/PHL-NBS.aspx
