INDUSTRY MATTERS the qualitative and semi-quantitative detection of IgG class antibodies against the RBD , S1 , S2 , and nucleocapsid protein , providing a composite and individual test results for these targets . Initial performance data of this fully automated multiplex assay indicates high sensitivity ( 96.3 %, 15 days after symptoms onset ) and specificity ( 99.8 %) ( data on file ).
Though a wide range of NAAT , antigen and antibody-based assays are currently available for COVID-19 diagnosis and monitoring , additional data from large clinical studies is needed so that clinicians and public health officials can properly interpret assay results and understand when to use the various options for best patient care . n
