We recognize the parents and guardians of our players as important members of our
program. We will make every effort to engage the parents and guardians of our players,
to build a positive and professional working relationship as their player(s) progress
through our program.
Pre-Season Meeting
The Pre-Season Parents Meeting will consist of two parts:
• General Overview
• All Parents in the Old Gym, Bleacher Seating
• Welcome
• Presentation of Why Parents/Guardians will play a pivotal role in the success
of our program.
• Review of La Vernia ISD and Athletics Department Policies
• Introduction of Coaching Staff
• Culture
• Core Values
• B.E.A.R.S. Pillars of the Program
• Coaching Philosophy
• The Player File
• Parent-Coach Communication
• Pre-Season/Post-Season Survey
• Break Out Session
• Parents will break out with their child’s coach to specified parts of the gym
for a smaller presentation and first interaction with their coach
• Parents will be given packet of information and a Handwritten Thank You
