Coaching
Off Season Development
In coordination with the Varsity Head Coach,
coaches will be required to seek opportunities to
grow during the offseason/summer. This can
include but not limited to coaches clinics, seminars,
observations, etc.
Evaluation
The Head Coach of each level (V, JV, F, 8 th , 7 th ) will be required to
complete a preseason packet including the following:
- Team Goals and Objectives
- Individual Player Development Areas
- Assistant Coach Responsibilities
- Coaching Focus Areas of Improvement
Observation and evaluation will be an ongoing process throughout the
season by the Varsity Staff attending practices and games, providing
informal feedback and engaging with parents and student-athletes. Head
Coaches will meet with the Varsity Head Coach at the mid-season point
to review the preseason packet and discuss adjustments as needed.
Head Coaches will be required to submit a weekly WAR Report
(Weekly Activity Report) by Monday at 10am which details the following:
- Summary of Previous Weeks Competitions and Practice
- Progress towards Team Goals and Objectives
- Progress of Individual Player Development
- The Practice Plan for the Week
- Special Situations/Requests
Note: An end of season review will be completed in accordance with Athletic Department Policy.
