Although rare, men can develop breast
cancer. It is important to recognize the
signs and symptoms so you can seek
medical treatment as early as possible.
These include:
• A painless lump or thickening in your
breast tissue.
• Changes to the skin covering your
breast, such as dimpling, puckering,
redness or scaling.
• Changes to your nipple, such as redness or scaling, or a nipple that begins
to turn inward.
• Discharge from your nipple.
Risk factors include high levels of
estrogen, which may be caused by
medications, obesity, heavy alcohol use,
and liver disease.
