MANGO LASSI
A
Lassi is an Indian
drink, similar to a
milkshake
or
smoothie. A dash of
cardamom seeds gives
the drink a unique
spiced
flavor.
This
refreshing
drink
is
perfect for the tropics
and is a great way to
take advantage of the
mango season upon us.
To make a mango lassi
at home you will need: 9

oz of plain yogurt, 4 ½
oz of milk
3 fresh mangos sliced, 4
teaspoons
of
sugar,
cardamom
seeds
to
taste and a dash of salt.

n Lassi es una
bebida
hindú,
similar a un licuado
o zalamero. Una pizca de
semillas de cardamomo le
otorga a esa bebida un
sabor picante característico. Este trago refrescante es ideal para los
trópicos y una gran forma
de aprovechar la temporada de mango.
Blend ingredients in the
blender on high for
approximately
2
minutes. Serve cold.
The lassi can be kept
refrigerated for up to 24
hours.
Para elaborar un lassi de
mango en casa, necesi-
tara: 9 onzas de yogurt
natural, 4 ½ onzas de
leche, 3 mangos frescos
cortados, 4 cucharadas
de azúcar, semillas de
cardamomo a gusto y una
pizca de sal.
Mezcle los ingredientes
en la batidora a máxima
potencia por aproximadamente 2 minutos. Sírvase
frio. El lassi puede ser
mantenido por hasta 24
horas en el refrigerador.

and lights. Make sure your house

there is movement outside.

invasions in Panama. In almost
every case, he says the break-in is
due to a home owner not being
adequately secure. Don says,
- Have bars on your windows.
Make sure the openings in between
the bars are small enough so that a
child cannot get in. Many invaders
use a child to climb into the house
through small openings to unlock
the front door.
- Use a steel security door on a
closet or room, that can be used as
a safe room. Keep a charged
cell phone with phone numbers for
emergency services and neighbours, in your safe room.
- If you hear movement in your
house, don’t go to investigate.
Instead go to your safe room and
call the police.
- When you call the police, say,
‘there is a bad guy inside my house
trying to kill me’. Don’t say, ‘I hear a
noise’.
