Plus de 400 œuvres comprenant des peintures, des décorations murales, des gouaches, des estampes et des pièces textiles composent cette monographie qui suit l’évolution de l’artiste de l’aube du XXème siècle à la fin des années 1970. L’ensemble des œuvres choisies met en lumière l’importance de son activité dans les arts appliqués, sa position d’avant-gardiste et son rôle de pionnière dans l’orphisme. I The colors of abstraction. From October 17th 2014 to February 22nd 2015, the Museum of Modern Art in Paris organizes the first Parisian retrospective dedicated to Sonia Delaunay since 1967. Over 400 works of art including paintings, wall decorations, gouaches, engravings and textiles compose this monograph which follows the artist’s evolution since the beginning of the 20th century to the end of the seventies. The selected works highlight the importance of her activity in applied arts, her forward-thinking position and pioneer in orphism.
