French Cultural Institute in Tunis. The series À travers les côtes is exposed at the Norderlicht
Festival in Netherlands, at the Month of photography in Athens and at the Aperture Foundation
in New York in 2006. In 2011, with other Tunisian photographers, he takes part in the project
“Artocratie, Inside out” initiated par the artist J.R. One hundred portraits have been made and
posted throughout the capital. His last exhibition took place at the Bluecoat in Liverpool where
he exposed the series Exist in (Someway).
Hichem Driss looks at what others don’t see. He takes his time, observes and frames with
sensitivity what appears to be his own world. I
