The Political Line

Le Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris, avec le CENTQUATRE, consacre une rétrospective de grande
envergure à l’artiste américain Keith Haring (1958 – 1990). Cette exposition couvre l’importance de son
œuvre et plus particulièrement la nature profondément “politique” de sa démarche, tout au long de sa carrière. Avec près de 250 œuvres réalisées sur toile, sur bâche ou dans le métro, - dont une quinzaine de
grands formats exposés au CENTQUATRE, cette exposition est l’une des plus importantes jamais réalisées sur cet artiste. Keith Haring fut l’un des artistes les plus célébrés de son époque, et aujourd’hui encore tout le monde connaît son style incomparable et son répertoire de signes emblématiques. Il a été
exposé avec Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauschenberg, Jenny Holzer et Daniel Buren, dès la Documenta 7 en 1982 et dans des musées et biennales du monde entier. I
The Political Line at The Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris, April 19 – August 18 2013, in collaboration
with CENTQUATRE, devotes a large-scale retrospective to American artist Keith Haring (1958-1990). This
exhibition will highlight the importance of his work and especially the deeply “political” nature of his approach
throughout his career.
With nearly 250 works created on canvas, tarpaulin or in the subway - including fifteen large format will be
exposed in CENTQUATRE, this exhibition is one of the largest ever conducted for this artist.
Keith Haring was one of the most celebrated artists of his time, and today everyone knows his incomparable
style and repertoire of iconic signs. His work was exhibited with Andy Warhol’s, Jean-Michel Basquiat’s, Roy
Lichtenstein’s, Robert Rauschenberg’s, Jenny Holzer’s and Daniel Buren’s, since Documenta 7 in 1982 and in
museums and biennials around the world. I

"السونكاتر" قد خصص معرضا استعاديا عىل نطاق واسع للفنان األمرييك كيث هارينغ (0991-8591) مبا ميكـّن من إدراك أهمية
أعامله و من التعرف بصفة أخص عىل الصبغة "السياسية" العميقة ملنهجه طوال مساره الفني. يضم املعرض ما يناهز 052 عمال

فنيّا منجزا عىل القامش، أو عىل األغطية، أو يف امليرتو، و منها حوايل 51 عمال كبري الحجم ستعرض يف "السونكاتر"، و هو بذلك
يشكل واحدا من أكرب املعارض التي خصصت لحد اآلن لهذا الفنان. كيث هارينغ كان من الفنانني الذين القوا التقدير و االحتفاء
