araa Ben Boubaker is a Tunisian designer, native of Kelibia. She highlights the
Tunisian expertise and know-how in weaving and works on diversifying the materials
according to the regions.
Inside-Outside is the clothing line created by Baraa. It is a garment made with supple
and soft Tunisian materials such as linen and very fine wool. Lines are uncluttered
and trimmed with embroidery of the South of Tunisia.
Themes are almost always “Entre Terre et Mer”, which reflects her life. Her inspirations
are everyday life and la dolce vita. Colors are simple and chic, often garnished with precious gold fine lines.
Spending her life between the two shores of the Mediterranean helped her create very contemporary clothing
and home accessories to be exported to New York, Japan, not to mention the Caribbean! Leila Menchari
noticed her at Maison et Objet Fair and ordered her entire line of throws for Hermes windows.
In 2010, she won a Euro-Mediterranean contest in Marseille, where she represented Tunisia, surrounded for
six months by top designers like Christophe Le Maire.
Baraa constantly travels throughout Tunisia, North to South, looking for new materials. I
