‫خــا�ص‬ ّ I Special I Spécial Aziz Tnani Aziz Tnani © Views of Tunisia, Gabès This Tunisian photographer, filmmaker and director of photography was born in Tunis in 1980. From an early age, he is a loyal member of the Tunisian Federation of Cine-Clubs and the Tunisian Federation of amateur filmmakers. Then, he starts to work as an assistant operator on several Tunisian and foreign productions. After getting a licence in experimental sciences and a diploma in English, he decides in 2003 to leave for Rome and study photography directing, at the New University of Cinema and Television in Rome. There, he studies under the auspices of great filmmakers such as Franco di Giacomo, Giuseppe Pinori and Tarek Ben Abdallah. After his diploma, he returns to Tunis and collaborates on different movies among which : “The Project” by Med Ali Nahdi, “The Crossing” by Nadia Touijer, “The Stadium” by Alaeddine Slim or “Heading North” by Youssef Chebbi. Still very active in the associative sector, he is in 2011 a founding member of the Tunisian Association of Action for Cinema. His confirmed talent and his professionalism have won him numerous honours. In 2010, he obtains the award for the best cinematography at the Short Film Festival in Kairouan for his work on “The Crossing” by Nadia Touijer, the award for the best cinematography at the Tunisian Film Festival in Paris in 2011, for his work on “The Bridge” by Ali Hassouna as well as a Special Mention from the jury at the European Film Festival in Brest for his work on “Heading North” by Youssef Chebbi. 121 I 57 ‫الغـزالــــة‬
