This photographer artist was born in Tunis.
He becomes interested in photography
while he is a student in the United
States. In 2001, he obtains a Master’s
in international finance, then he gets a
Master’s in philosophy in 2005. After a
short career as computer consultant, his
passion brings him to focus entirely on
photography in 2007.
Based in Tunis, he continues to travel the
world, working especially in Africa and in
the Middle-East. His pictures are showed
in numerous exhibitions in Tunisia and
worldwide. In November 2006, he presents
his first personal exhibition, “Drops”, at
the Aire Libre, El Teatro in Tunis. Between
2007 and 2008, he participates in several
group exhibitions such as the “Printemps
des Arts” in La Marsa 2007 and 2008, the
International Encounters of Photography
in Ghar el Melh 2007 and 2009. He also
takes part in the Noor-Nikon Masterclass
Workshop in March 2013 as well as the
exhibition “Views of Tunisia” achieved
with Tunisian photographers during
the Arles Encounters in France in July
2013. Versatile and very active, he tries
advertising photography and signs many
collaborations with local communication
agencies. Between 2009 and 2010, he
gives photography lessons at the Higher
School of Audiovisual and Cinema in
Gammarth, Tunis. In October 2012, he is
a member of the jury at the Tunisiana Web
Awards.Douraid is currently preparing his
second personal exhibition.
