Plus de 250 photographies, personnellement sélectionnées et imprimées
par David Bailey, sont présentées aux
visiteurs du National Portrait Gallery de
Londres. De renommée internationale,
le photographe de mode et de portrait a
collaboré avec les plus grands journaux
et magazines tels que Daily Express,
Sunday Times, British Vogue, Elle et
Glamour. Il est également l’un des symboles de la contre-culture anglaise des
sixties et du phénomène “Swinging
London” qui ont fait rayonner Londres
dans le monde entier.
Regroupés par thèmes, les portraits
de célébrités de divers domaines (cinéma, musique, mode) et d’anonymes
retracent la carrière de David Bailey du
début des années 60 à aujourd’hui. I
Bailey’s Stardust, from February 6th
to June 1st 2014. Over 250 photographs
selected and printed personally by David Bailey are exhibited at the National
Portrait Gallery of London. Internationally
renowned, the fashion and portrait photographer has worked with the greatest
newspapers and magazines such as
Daily Express, Sunday Times, British
Vogue, Elle and Glamour. He is also one
of the symbols of the sixties English
counterculture and the “Swinging London” phenomenon.
Grouped by themes, portraits of celebrities from various spheres of activity
(cinema, music, fashion) and portraits
of anonymous people redraw David
Bailey’s career from the beginning of
the sixties until today. I
