of the first decree approving the articles
”of the Tunisian Air company “TUNISAIR
with a share capital of 60 million French
francs and situating in 1, Athènes street
in Tunis. At its beginning Tunisair has
.exploited Dakota 4 (DC4) which was acquired from the U.S
.Army for the sum of $ 56.5 million francs
The newspapers of that time such as La Presse made no
allusion to the birth of Tunisair, and announced its creaction
only few months later. For the media, the establishment of
Tunisair dates back only to December the 7th, 1948, date of
