Le Grand Palais accueille les œuvres d’une figure majeure de l’art de l’histoire de l’art et sans conteste le plus
célèbre des peintres de l’âge d’or espagnol, Diego Velasquez.
Cette exposition se présente comme un dialogue artistique entre Velasquez et d’autres peintres de son temps,
qu’il a pu connaître, admirer ou influencer. Au-delà d’une simple présentation
de l’œuvre du fameux peintre espagnol,
l’exposition met au grand jour les variations de style et de sujets dans les premières compositions de Velasquez ainsi
que l’évolution de son art, naturalisme et

hosts the works of a major figure in art
history and unquestionably the most famous painter of the Spanish golden age,
Diego Velasquez.
This exhibition is presented like an artistic dialogue between Velasquez and other
painters of his time, that he might have
known, admired or influenced. Beyond
mere presentation of the well-known
Spanish painter’s work, the exhibition
highlights the variations in style and subjects in Velasquez first compositions as
well as the evolution of his art, both Naturalism and Caravaggism. I

خالل تسليط الضوء عىل أعامله األوىل التي متيزت
بتنوع األمناط واملواضيع التي تناولتها وبالتطورات
الفنية التي شهدتها، عىل غرار املدرسة الطبيعية
