Rhodes, une île grecque aux portes
de l’Orient

En cette fin d’année le musée du Louvre accueille une exposition dédiée au rôle historique de Rhodes, point de rencontre
des échanges entre l’Egée et l’Orient pendant des millénaires.
Considérée comme l’une des sept merveilles du monde antique, la cité de Rhodes a développé une culture orientalisante,
enrichie des importations venant d’Egypte, de Syrie, de Phénicie, de Phrygie et de Chypre. Le musée met en lumière une riche
collection de pièces archéologiques rhodiennes incluant de
spectaculaires pièces d’orfèvrerie, des productions en faïence
et divers objets précieux façonnés entre le XVème siècle et le Vème
siècle av J-C. I Rhodes, a Greek island at the gateway
to the East, from November 14th 2014 to February 10th 2015. As
we approach the end of the year, the Louvre Museum hosts
an exhibition dedicated to the historic role of Rhodes, meeting point for the exchanges between the Aegean Sea and the
East for millenia. Considered as one of the seven marvels of the
antique world, the city of Rhodes has developed an easternstyle culture, enriched by imports from Egypt, Syria, Phoenicia,
Phrygia and Cyprus. The museum highlights a rich collection of
Rhodian archaeological pieces including spectacular gold and
silverware, faience works and various precious objects made
between the 15th century and the 5th century B.C. I

التاريخي الذي لعبته جزيرة رودس يف
مجال التبادل التجاري بني بحر إيجة
واملرشق طيلة آالف السنني. لقد طورت
مدينة رودس التي كانت تعترب واحدة
من عجائب الدنيا السبع القدمية، ثقافة
تحمل طابعا رشقيا، تعززت بالواردات
،القادمة من مرص وسوريا، وفينيقيا
وفريجيا، وقربص. يسلط املعرض الذي
يحتضنه املتحف الضوء عىل مجموعة
غنية من القطع األثرية التي عرث عليها يف
جزيرة رودس مبا يف ذلك قطع مذهلة من
الحيل و املجوهرات واألواين الخزفيــة
والعديد من التحف األخرى القيمة
