I www.dabchy.com
hand items and is named among the 100 most
promising start-ups in the Arab World and Africa by
the World Economic Forum. This localized fashion
marketplace operates as a trusted third party between
buyers and sellers. Behind this success, stands the
ambitious idea of three friends, Ameni Mansouri,
Ghazi Ketata and Oussama Mahjoub, to establish the
first Tunisian online platform specialized in fashion.
A project that currently has a website and mobile
applications on both iOs and Android, managed
by a team of 15 people. If the platform was initially
dedicated to women, it now includes a category for children’s clothing and will soon open to male users.
Building on its success in Tunisia, Dabchy is expanding to Algeria and Morocco (in incubation with Lookforward
from the leading company Showroomprive.com) and should soon be available in Egypt now that it has obtained
the «Label Startup» from the government. The Dabchy adventure is growing and aims in the near future to
expand into more countries in the Middle East to become the leader in the MENA region. An ambition within
reach since Dabchy is getting ready for the next cycle of Womentum (MENA’s female-led startup accelerator
program based in the UAE), which should introduce it in two major global startup hubs: Berlin and Dubai. I
