INTERFERENCE
From 6 to 9 September , the Medina of Tunis will be for four nights home to a large-scale exhibition held by INTERFERENCE . During this second edition , artists from around the world will occupy the Medina to create an interaction between contemporary art and cultural heritage .
Building on the success of September 2016 first edition , the Medina of Tunis will house INTERFÉRENCE for a second more committed session . INTERFERENCE project - new experience based on the interaction between light ( but also the absence of light ), contemporary art and architectural heritage - aims to make artistic expression more accessible and raise crucial social and cultural issues . Public spaces , private apartments , prestigious buildings and abandoned sites will house the facilities of thirty Tunisian and foreign artists , inviting visitors to discover the architectural beauty of the Medina by night - a UNESCO World Heritage site – through uncommon works . Sonia Kallel , Cecilia Ackermann , Wadi Mhiri , Sara Foerster , Liliya Ben Romdhane , Tom Groll , Karim Jabberi , Kuno Seltmann , Mouna Jemal Siala , Elene Vertikova , Wadi Mhiri , Anna Rosa Rupp , Houda Ghorbel - among many others - will bring new vision of this cultural heritage , steeped in history .
