Potières d ’ Afrique . Voyage au cœur d ’ une tradition contemporaine
Du 16 mars au 9 septembre 2018 Après avoir observé pendant quatre ans les gestes et techniques des potières du Mali , Burkina , Niger , Cameroun et Nigeria , onze céramistes Européens reviennent sur le Vieux continent les bras chargés de ces œuvres artisanales . Dans le cadre de l ’ exposition Potières d ’ Afrique , le Musée Ariana de Genève présente une centaine de terres cuites , sélectionnées pendant l ’ aventure collective des céramistes en Afrique de l ' Ouest . Cette collection , en plus de nombreuses interviews , films , notes , dessins pris sur le vif , outils et photographies , dévoile un savoir-faire contemporain dans le façonnage , la décoration , la cuisson d ’ objets usuels et témoigne de manière plus générale de la haute qualité du travail artisanal de ces femmes dont les créations occupent une place cruciale au quotidien . Women Potters of Africa . A journey to the heart of a contemporary tradition
16 March – 9 September 2018 Having observed for four years the women potters in action , and at times worked alongside them , eleven European ceramists brought back around a hundred examples of pottery for daily use , selected for their aesthetic qualities by the ceramists , whose principal aim was to bring to light a contemporary savoir-faire in the shaping , decoration and firing of everyday objects . Several films , interviews , notes , drawings from real life , tools and a large number of photographs all describe in detail this shared adventure and the main steps in the making of the pieces , from the extraction of the clay to the firing . The ceramics also reveal a social identity transmitted over generations , markers of the daily reality for these women , whose creations are an essential part of domestic life . I www . خزّافات إفريقيا٠ رحلة في قلب تقاليد معاصرة

، بعد التأمّل ولمدّة أربع سنوات في حركات وتقنيات خزّافات من مالي ، بوركينا ، النيجر الكاميرون ونيجيريا ، عاد أحد عش خزّافا أوروبيّا إلى القارّة العجوز مُ ّ لين بأعمال حرفية٠ في إطار معرض « خزّافات إفريقيا ،» يُقدّم متحف أريانا بجنيف مائة من الأعمال الخزفية المُختارة خلال المغامرة الجماعية بإفريقيا الغربية٠ إلى جانب عدد من الحوارات و الأفلام والملاحظات و الرسوم الحينيّة وأدوات التصوير تكشف هذه المجموعة براعة معاصرة من ناحية التشكيل و الديكور وطبخ الأواني اليومية وتشهد بصفة عامة عن الجودة العالية للشغل
