Experience the unique Dougga Festival 2024
The 48th Dougga International Festival returns to the charming town of Teboursouk from 29 June to 10 July 2024 . Considered one of the most prestigious music festivals in the Arab world , it attracts some 3,000 festival-goers per concert , offering them an unforgettable experience in the magical setting of Dougga ’ s Roman theatre .
Organised by the Dougga International Festival Association , with Mohamed Ben Said as executive director and Akacia Production as producer , this year ’ s festival boasts a rich and varied programme . It celebrates cultural and artistic diversity with world-renowned artists . For 11 days , festival-goers will enjoy various musical and creative styles , with performances by national and international artists .
This year ’ s headliners include the unmissable Anouar Brahem , the sensational Egyptian group Cairokee , and the talented Mai Farouk accompanied by 40 Tunisian musicians . Jazz fans will be delighted by the spellbinding performances of Kamaal Williams ,
Erik Trufazz , and Mounir Troudi . The line-up includes Jawhar , Aita Mon Amour , Yuma , Samara , Mortadha Ftiti , Yasser Jradi , Ziara , and Rola Azar Pal . In addition to the concerts , the festival features a captivating play entitled ‘ Le Coeur Hanté ’ ( The Haunted Heart ), directed by Walid Ayadi .
The Dougga International Festival is committed to further promoting the Dougga region worldwide . It aims to develop a stable and sustainable local ecosystem around the Dougga archaeological site while facilitating access to it for a wide audience and working with young people in the region . The festival ’ s strategic axes include professionalising young entrepreneurs in Dougga , highlighting local artists and entrepreneurs and the heritage of Dougga ( North-
