Abstract
The rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament( ACL) is one of the most serious injuries that occur in soccer, which is one of the four main ligaments of the knee. The break usually occurs when the player makes a rotation of the leg and at the same time produces a strong pressure or load in the downward direction. This knee injury involves very long periods of rehabilitation and sometimes can lead the footballer to abandon competitive sports. For this, an anterior cruciate ligament operation and a subsequent rehabilitation established in different phases are performed. In this sense, the present document proposes to describe the problem of the breakdown of LCA in soccer players and their readaptation lesional in a national context.

Introducción
La rotura del ligamento cruzado anterior es una de las lesiones más importantes que puede sufrir la rodilla del futbolista y del deportista en general. Hasta hace unos años era una lesión de un pronóstico más bien pesimista, puesto que gran cantidad de deportistas que sufrían esta lesión no llegaban a reincorporarse al nivel previo a la situación lesional. Actualmente, las técnicas quirúrgicas han avanzado extraordinariamente, y se puede decir, sin menoscabar la importancia que la lesión sigue teniendo, que el pronóstico es mucho más favorable.
