11 - 2019 Loggers Baseball - 11 2019 LOGGERS FRONT OFFICE Ben Kapanke, General Manager Ben Kapanke is in the midst of his 15th season with the Loggers and his fi rst as the team’s General Manager after serving as the the assistant general manager over the previous ten seasons.. Ben, has been with the Loggers full-time since the 2005 season. Ben helps oversee the day-to-day operations and is heavily involved with sponsorship sales, driving the events at Copeland Park & Events Center, the Loggers concession operations as well as the team’s fi - nances. Ben has been involved with the Northwoods League since 2002 when he served as an umpire after attending the Jim Evans Academy of Professional Umpiring. Ben is the young- est son of Dan & Ruth Kapanke and is married to his wife Elizabeth. The couple resides on French Island with their two sons, Evan and Drew, and daughter Paige. Chris Callaway, Assistant General Manager Chris has been with the Loggers as the public address announcer since the 2013 season, but is back for his second season on a full-time role as our Assistant General Manager. Chris will help to drive ticket sales, develop corporate partnerships, and work behind- the-scenes in planning and executing many forms of entertainment at Copeland Park. Chris has lived and worked in La Crosse since graduating from UW-L in 2010, spending six years working on-air at the La Crosse Radio Group. His true passion is sports, which is why you can fi nd him serving as the public address voice for a number of UW-La Crosse Athletics sports, or playing pickup basketball in a gym near you. He is a devout fan of the Green Bay Pack- ers, Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Chris lives with his fi ancée, Ashley, on the south side of La Crosse. Elizabeth Kapanke, Group Sales Coordinator & Director of Merchandising Elizabeth is back and more excited than ever for her 14th season, serving as the Loggers Group Sales Coordinator. Elizabeth spearheads the coordination of the Loggers seven different group outing areas that includes two decks, three private suite areas as well as pre-game picnics and large group seating in the Copeland Park grandstand. The only daugther of owners Dan and Ruth Kapanke, Elizabeth grew up with three brothers and a father who love the game of base- ball and soon so did she. Elizabeth enjoys the time she gets to spend with her three sons, Cody, Jacob and Dan- iel. Always ready to offer “Service with a Smile”, Elizabeth invites the most important people in the ballpark out the Howie’s Homerun Hangout Sports Deck for a big hug any time. Elizabeth Kapanke, Finance Coordinator Elizabeth Kapanke returns for her 12th season with the Loggers, overseeing all of the accounts pay- ables and receivables for the Loggers organization. During her fi rst four seasons, “Music Girl” was also the coordinator of all of the music at the ballpark. Kapanke is originally from Middleton, Wisc. and is a UW-L graduate. Elizabeth, and her husband Ben, reside on French Island with their two sons, Evan and Drew, and daughter Paige. - Roll Logs -
