In acknowledgement of the inspirational accomplishments of several of our CDABP-enrolled contractors , we have also included success stories for Izurieta Fence Company , Escobar Construction , Meron , Inc . and Angel City Developers – all of whom have met the past year ’ s challenges head on and are thriving .
As discussed in more detail herein , to help further support the success of our local small and diverse contractors , MWIS has recently created a Contract Financing Assistance Program ( CFAP ), which aims to provide contractors with greater access to working capital – the lack of which is one of the main barriers to their participation in public works contracting .
Despite the pandemic and other ongoing challenges , there are also burgeoning opportunities - including those created by the $ 1.2 trillion infrastructure law - which will provide significant new public construction work in Los Angeles County and across the nation . So , contractors , now is the time to hone your skills and position yourselves to participate in the many upcoming public infrastructure projects !
