At a pre-bid meeting for the City of Los Angeles , George learned about the Contractor Development and Bonding Program ( CDABP ) and met CDABP Account Manager Michelle Quirante just a month before landing his company ’ s first large-scale landscaping project . “ I started working with Michelle first and she introduced me to bonding agent , Lourdes Landa . It ’ s a lengthy process to fulfill the City requirements . They answered my questions , guided me through the paperwork , and advised me every step of the way .”
From that point on , Green Garden , Inc . has been awarded many public works and commercial landscaping contracts , including for Los Angeles Unified School District ( LAUSD ), Walmart , hotels , condominium complexes and maintaining median islands for the City of Los Angeles . “ For one contract , we are maintaining 1,353,365 square feet of turf and 1,687,263 square feet of planter beds and groundcover .”
