topics are vital to providing small local and diverse contractors with the knowledge , tools and support needed to access public works contracts . Starting on page 22 , we recap and provide links to view these sessions .
On page 37 , we review CDABP / MWIS Additional Events , including the LA Business and Financial Empowerment Summit held on October 14 , 2023 , at which MWIS staff hosted an information table and CEO Ingrid Merriwether participated in a panel discussion . Two industry organizations also honored MWIS for the impact of the CDABP and our work on diversity , equity , and inclusion ( DEI ) issues . Consistent with this , the MWIS team assisted the LA Department of Water and Power ( LADWP ) in putting on its Supplier Diversity Fair in November .
Also key to CDABP ’ s success are raising public awareness , communication , and media outreach . During the period covered by this issue , eight news items were featured in a range of publications , links for which are shown on page 42 .
To complement the events , activities and contractor profile , we also provide concrete program data in CDABP by the Numbers , starting on page 43 . These statistics include the number of CDABP training events , attendees , technical assistance interactions , and program enrollees , as well as some statistics on our CFAP .
We continue in our objective to help contractors grow and increase their capacities . We hope this newsletter informs and inspires you . We are here to help people like you over the long term . We invite you to reach out to us and to engage with the CDABP team !
Warm Regards ,
