She talked about the agency ’ s different Metro certifications and small business programs .

Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger
On September 15 , 2022 , Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger co-hosted the “ Navigating LA County and Metro Contracting Opportunities ” webinar , along with Merriwether & Williams Insurance Services ( MWIS ).
Thanks to the leadership and support of Metro Board Members and Los Angeles County elected officials , the growth and development of small and diverse contractors represent top priorities . CDABP is one such effort providing inclusivity in the construction industry . CDABP is a free program that helps small and diverse contractors secure bonding to bid for Metro and LA County public contracts , bonding that may have otherwise been unattainable .
“ To reduce obstacles [ in public contracting ], Los Angeles County and Metro implemented the Regional Contractor Development and Bonding Program . These opportunities are key for taking advantage of the growth happening all around us ,” said Supervisor Kathryn Barger in her welcoming remarks .
