Haring’s political statements are often the reason for being of most of his works. Themes like racism, drugs, Aids (illness that caused Haring’s death), discriminated minorities, and nuclear threat are at the core of its production. The viewer does not just engage with a visually interesting picture but is encouraged to take certain messages away.

If you are in Milan, do not miss this intriguing exhibition: a great opportunity to “get closer” to Haring’s artistic production and understand how much of previous artistic traditions can be found in his own.
