Italian cuisine is world renowned and adored by almost anyone you come across. From pizza to lasagna to focaccia, its simplicity effortlessly triggers our taste buds. Family homes across Italy have mastered these dishes and food is undeniably an integral part of Italian culture. However, there is one man who saw ‘la comida italiana’ as a starting point for even greater creations.

Massimo Bottura could very well be classified as a gastronomic revolutionary for his radical creativity in the kitchen. Born and raised in Modena, a small city in northern Italy, Bottura diligently watched his grandmother preparing food for the family. Thanks to her inspiration, Bottura pursued a career as a chef. (Despite the mountain of success Bottura has achieved, he still insists that she will always be a better cook than him!).
