ARTE, CULTURA & SPETTACOLO

There is a hopeless tone to the show, and not much joy comes out of watching bad people do bad things. However, the brilliant characterizations of the protagonists and the solid performances of the cast are enough to draw you into situations that couldn’t possibly take place anywhere else in the world, due to the fact that you have, as described by Gina Gardini, the closest thing the show has to a showrunner, “the power of Washington DC, with the economic force of New York City and the biggest mega-church in the world, all working and plotting together in a very small city” (quoted for Screen Daily).
