Etkinliklerimiz / Our Activities
2. Sınıflarımızla Kütüphane Kampımız / Our Library Camp With Grade 2 Students
The library camp activity titled “We are reading together on the
longest night” which we carried out as a pilot project this year for
the first time took place with the participation of Grade 2 students
and their parents. The night was so enjoyable and it started off by
eating the healthy food that the parents prepared and brought.
The author Ceren Kerimoğlu was our guest at the author event and
we talked about being an author and a section from her book titled
“Poşetto” was read. We enjoyed the talk so much as students and
parents asked questions and right after the talk the author signed
her book titled “Poşetto” which was distributed to our students.
Öznur Gözde Cebir, our Performance Arts and Activities Coordi-
nator and Creative Drama Teacher, carried out activities such as
“Puppet-making” and “Telling Fairytales with Music” and our
students and parents enjoyed themselves so much as they designed
puppets using various materials.
Right after the activities we watched the film titled “Puss in Boots”
eating pop-corn at the conference hall where our tents were set. As
the film ended, our music teacher Ufuk Akman played piano and
our teacher Gözde Cebir read a nice fairytale and our students fell
asleep.
We believe that our library camp was so enjoyable and efficient for
our students and parents as we all read, listened, and watched
together and plan to organize a camp for the other classes in the
following semesters. We would like to thank the parents that
accompanied us that night.
