UPDATE ON INTEGRATION AND DEVELOPMENTS IN KWETB FROM THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE A s part of our integration and development plan, an overall KWETB vision and associated value statements were carefully drafted and were finalised after considerable feedback was received from key stakeholders. It now gives me great pleasure to launch KWETB’s Vision Statement and Core Values. The Vision and Value Statements set the foundation of our organisation and help direct the future and informs our working ethos. KWETB Vision Statement – Our statement of Purpose. “Nurturing a learning community, enriching educational experience, empowering the pursuit of excellence, whilst leading a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation in the Irish education and training system” KWETB Values – Our Working Ethos 1. Supportive The KWETB Vision and Values will be reviewed in each school, centre and service over the coming months. I look forward to us all working together to realise this overall vision and way of working. I await hearing each of your Vision and Value Statements that are established locally in your place of work. Substantial progress has been made with regard to the integration of the individual administrative areas; one of the most significant developments has been the full transfer of the Finance Function to the Wicklow Office at the end of January 2015. An immense amount of work went into this project and its successful completion was due to the efforts and cooperation of all administration staff, staff who formerly worked in Finance as well as the new team. I wish to acknowledge the work levels of the HR Team in the management of the largest recruitment drive to date involving the processing of 4,000 applications through to the recruitment, payroll 3
