PLC courses are full-time , intensive , one-year programmes that are designed to prepare students for entry level employment or progression to further study .

Students who complete a PLC course may apply to third level programmes at Institutes of Technology or Universities through the Higher Education Links Scheme .

Some participants may be eligible for a Maintenance grant which is awarded by SUSI .
