Welcome to Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board Further Education and Training Services . Further Education is for everyone who wants to learn a new skill , improve their language , literacy or digital skills , get a recognised qualification , change career or re-enter the labour market or become more active in their community . We have Further Education and Training Centres of Excellence throughout Co Kildare offering a wide range of courses : certified and uncertified ; full-time and part-time ; daytime and evening . In our Further Education and Training Centres learning happens in a friendly , professional , learner centred environment with a suite of supports to help you progress along the learning pathways . These supports include reading , writing and maths , language , guidance , counselling , mentoring , IT device loan scheme , book loan scheme amongst others .
During the COVID-19 restrictions our courses moved to being fully online . This September we will be reopening our centres in line with the current Government COVID-19 guidelines which may mean a blend of online and classroom based learning but we will support you every step of the way .
Our learners progress to employment in healthcare , business including online retail , ICT , manufacturing and many other areas of employment , or to third level colleges .
