When on the phone with Marvin Copeland making the reservation, I made sure he understood I was a GAY man looking to hold my Wedding to another Gay Man and hold my Reception AND Honeymoon all at their location. To my suprise, given the fact this WAS The State Of Georgia, and its netorious reputation for NOT being Gay friendly, I expected the NO's to come pretty quickly. Instead what I got was a very welcoming, "That is no problem, we do those quite often" reply. Marvin acctualy is gay himself and takes emense pride working for the resort. I told him I wanted to come for a weekend and see for myself what the resort had to offer me and my soon to be groom. I wanted to take pictures and speak with the staff, All of this was responded to by Marvin with a, "We Would Love That" response.
Arrival Expectations
Fully ready to pull off the mask of their sherade we left for this so called "BEST HONEYMOON EVER" wonderland expecting in full, that once we got there that wonderful mood of jubilation of finding the perfect wedding and honeymoon spot would vanish. With steers of contempt of the, "Their, That Gay Couple We Were Warned About" looks and whispers from the staff. However our arrival was met instead with a "Welome Mr. Harris (with even a quick) And Future Mr. Harris". Well that was NOT what I had expected at all. The staff (edit with name later) made a quick phone call and soon we were met by Marvin himself. Marvin welcomed us with big smiles and happy you are here all around. Marvin then took us to our suit.
It can't be real!
