So I decided to take parents back to their days in secondary school ,in reminisce . For the youngsters, it was the desire to relate w ith them at their ow n level. That there is a life after the abuse and for the abuser, the consequences of any action is inev itable. That my books are w ritten mainly to console and comfort hurting people. They serv e as healing balm, bringing hope to, especially the sexually abused. What are your current projects? I 'm currently w orking on my third bookTales of Motherhood, Spelling Bee Bayelsa and my pet project, an endrape campaign #boysdontrape; girlsarediamonds! A w riter's rew ard is not necessarily in the financial proceeds from his/her w riting but the impact on the reader. 25 Ebidenyefa Tarila Nikade is a w ife, mother, Educationist, Parenting/Teen/Sex Education counsellor, broadcast Journalist and public speaker who believ es in creating platforms for young people to express themselves. Ebidenyefa who authored ‘These Words Are Not Mine’ a collection of poems majorly themed around w omanhood, is passionate about w omen and children, especially the sexually abused; hence her w ritings are centred on such themes. She runs an anti-rape campaign #boysdontrape; girlsarediamonds ' as part of activ ities to curb the rape menace. Ebidenyefa holds a B.ed and MA from the then Riv ers State College of Education and Univ ersity of Port Harcourt respectively. She is the presenter of an aw ard w inning Radio Programme' Creative Xpressions on Gloryfm 97.1. She is a staff of Bayelsa Senior Secondary Board, presently working with Ekpetiama Comprehensive High School Tombia, Yenagoa, and is also the Organizer of ‘Spelling Bee Bayelsa’ targeted at improving the vocabulary of children and encouraging the spirit of sportsmanship. She is a member of Yenagoa Book Club. She presently lives in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state, with her husband and daughter. Vulnerable Chronicles is her debut novel.
