Sierra Leone Presidential Delegation Visits

In September 2013 a special presidential delegation, appointed by Sierra Leone President
Ernest Bai Koroma, arrived in the United States. The delegation was led by the Honorable
Alhaji Alpha Kanu, Minister of Information and Communications. President Koroma’s
absence in the September 2013 visit was due to a reported injury while participating in extracurricular sports activities. Members of the delegation include Foreign Minister Honorable Samura Kamara; Ambassador to the United States, His Excellency Bockarie Stevens;
the Special Executive Assistant to the President, Dr. Sylvia Blyden; Minister Plenipotentiary to the United Nations, Reverend Leroy Wilfred Kabs-Kanu; Chief of Staff, Dr. Richard
Konteh; Deputy Minister of Finance, Madam Mabinti Daramy; Member of Parliament from
Port Loko, Ms. Isata Kabia; Head of Chancery at the Sierra Leone Embassy to the United
States, Mrs. Isha Sillah; Information Attaché, Mr. Pasco Temple; Special Assistant, Foday
Mansaray; Special Assistant in the President’s Office, Ajibu Jalloh; Dr. Horace DoveEdwin of the Diaspora Office; and Madam Madina Rahman.
