Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma
H
is Royal Highness Prince Alwaleed Bin
Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud of Saudi
Arabia, the richest Arab in the world,
was on June 2013 effusive in his praises
of President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma of Sierra Leone
as the Prince announced a spontaneous donation of
one million dollars to Sierra Leone's Free Health
Care Initiative for Pregnant and Lactating Women
and one million dollars to the country's Youth Employment Initiative.
According to the Prince, he could tell during his private, closed-door discussions with President Koroma
that his greatest concerns were for the women and
youths of Sierra Leone. The Prince made the unexpected and unscheduled announcement of the multimillion dollars donation as he assured the people of
Sierra Leone that he would support President
Koroma in developing the country.
HR Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud of Saudi Arabia,
The Prince said he plans to invest significantly in
Sierra Leone but was not going to wait until all
paperwork, technical and legal frameworks are
worked out before he started to pour money into the country. On a related development,
during the visit of the Saudi Prince, the Special Executive Assistant to President Koroma,
Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden, held discussions with Dr. Nahlah Nasser Alanbar who is the
Private Executive Assistant to the Prince of Saudi Arabia. Like the Special Executive Assistant to President Koroma, the Private Executive Assistant to the Prince is a woman and she
also carries the title of ‘Dr.’ “I found her to be highly intelligent, brilliantly self-confident,
formidably capable and obviously extremely well trusted by her boss, the billionaire Saudi
Prince,” Dr. Blyden stated, adding; “indeed, it was a pleasure to meet with Dr. Nahlah Nasser Alanbar.”
