The new baby gorilla
New at the Safari Park is a baby gorilla. This cute little guy only makes public appearances riding his momma’s shoulder but I’m
certain he’ll be running off on his own and getting into trouble soon just like the other juvenile gorillas.
The gorilla troop is presided over by a large
male Silverback who spends his time eating and
watching over the others in his charge.
The park while large is actually pretty easy to
walk in a single day. The largest section is seen
from the tram so walking to the lions, gorillas,
lemurs, elephants or tigers is pretty easy.
The park closed at 7:00 so by 6:15 we were
back at the Tiger Trail. What a difference a few
hours and cooler temperatures made.

Thankfully since the advent of digital photography shooting hundreds of pictures is not only easy it’s affordable. Surely I’d have
gone broke on film.
